At Core Matters, “core” refers to the person underneath all the adaptations we make as we move through life—the parts of ourselves that can become harder to hear when we spend too much time trying to be safe, understood, accepted, or good.

How I Work

Therapy with me is thoughtful, curious, and collaborative. We may slow down and look closely at a reaction that seems disproportionate, explore where you've learned that response, notice how it shows up in your relationships, and consider what you actually need now.

My work is insight-oriented and trauma-informed. I want to understand how you became the person sitting in front of me, what has helped you get this far, and whether the direction you're heading is actually the one you want. As we get to know each other, we'll also look at what you want to change and what might help you get there.

Location

In-person office

Sessions are held in a private counseling office inside Huntersville United Methodist Church. Counseling is confidential and independent of the church, and the practice is not affiliated with the church's pastoral or religious services.

In-person counseling in Huntersville, NC, serving clients from Charlotte, Cornelius, Davidson, Mooresville, the Lake Norman area, and surrounding communities.

Telehealth

Telehealth is available throughout North Carolina.
